Name mix-ups
Does Apex Boost Contain Maca, Saffron or L-Carnitine?
Quick answer: No. The Apex Boost label on this site lists six herbs: tribulus, horny goat weed, longjack, ginseng, ashwagandha and yohimbe. It lists no maca, saffron, L-carnitine, zinc or grape skin extract. Other products use similar names with different formulas, so always match the panel to your bottle.
Why do people ask about maca, saffron and L-carnitine?
Imagine typing the product name into a search box and seeing a list of results. One page mentions maca root. Another mentions saffron. A third mentions L-carnitine. You would reasonably wonder whether they all describe the same capsule.
They do not. The seller pack behind this site ran a web check and found the name 'Apex Boost' or 'ApexBoost' used on products from apparently different sellers. At least one listing showed a very different ingredient list, with maca, saffron, zinc, L-carnitine, L-citrulline and pine bark. The pack says plainly that such a list must not be confused with the Flex University product. We agree, and we only describe the label we have read.
Key facts
- The label we describe lists six herbs: tribulus, horny goat weed, longjack, ginseng, ashwagandha and yohimbe.
- No maca, saffron, L-carnitine, zinc or grape skin extract appears on that label.
- The bottle is printed Apex Boost + Male Capsules. The plus sign is part of the printed name.
- The blend is 838 mg per 2-capsule serving; each herb's amount is not published.
- Distributor on the label: Flex University, San Diego CA, 82121. Lot APE-26/AP-4253.
- Price is shown at checkout; the guarantee is 60 days from delivery on orders placed through this site.
What is actually on the Apex Boost label?
Here is the whole active list, read from the back of the bottle. There is one active line and six herbs under it.
- Tribulus Terrestris Extract (Tribulus terrestris)
- Horny Goat Weed Extract (Epimedium sagittatum)
- Longjack Extract (Eurycoma longifolia)
- Ginseng Root Extract (Panax ginseng)
- Ashwagandha Extract (Withania somnifera)
- Yohimbe Extract (Pausinystalia yohimbe)
Below the blend come three inactive ingredients: silica dioxide, rice flour and magnesium stearate. That is every ingredient on the panel. If an ingredient is not on that list, it is not on the label we describe.
Is there maca root, saffron or L-carnitine in it?
| Ingredient people ask about | On the Apex Boost label? |
|---|---|
| Maca root | No |
| Saffron | No |
| L-carnitine | No |
| Grape skin extract | No |
| Zinc | No |
| Tongkat ali | Yes, under another name: longjack (Eurycoma longifolia) is often sold as tongkat ali |
| Yohimbe | Yes: the sixth and last herb in the blend |
The one 'yes, under another name' deserves a note. People search for tongkat ali, and longjack is the same plant extract under a different common name. If you see tongkat ali searched together with this product, longjack is why.

Is 'Apex Boost Plus' a different product?
On the bottle sold through this site, the printed name is Apex Boost + Male Capsules. The plus sign is part of that name. It is not a sign of a different, upgraded formula.
Searches also show 'plus' with a pack size, such as one-pack or 60-capsule listings. A 60-capsule bottle is the size described here, and a 3-pack of 180 capsules is how three bottles are sometimes listed. If a page promises extra ingredients under a 'plus' label, compare its Supplement Facts with the panel above before you trust it. The ingredients decide what the product is, not the name.
How can you tell which product you are looking at?
A short routine settles it. You only need the Supplement Facts panel and the base of the bottle.
- Find the Supplement Facts panel on the product page or on the bottle.
- Look for the line 'Proprietary Male Support Blend 838 mg' and the six herb names under it.
- Look for the distributor line: Flex University, San Diego CA, 82121.
- On a bottle you hold, read the lot code on the base. Stock from this site carries APE-26/AP-4253.
- If the ingredient list differs, you are looking at a different product, whatever the front of the page says.
If your bottle has a different panel, photograph it and send it to the website desk at [email protected]. A changed label means our pages need updating.
What should you do if a page lists ingredients that are not on this label?
Do not guess, and do not assume the page is lying. It may simply describe a different bottle. Three small steps keep you safe.
- Ask the seller for a photo of the Supplement Facts panel of the exact bottle on offer.
- Check the distributor line. Ours says Flex University, San Diego CA, 82121.
- Check the guarantee. The 60-day refund on this site covers orders placed through this site only, not listings from other sellers.
A seller who cannot show the panel has not answered your question. A seller who shows it, and it matches, has.
Does the formula matter more than the name?
Yes, because the formula decides the cautions. The Apex Boost blend contains yohimbe, which is why NCCIH's warnings apply: do not combine it with an MAO inhibitor or a tricyclic antidepressant, and ask a doctor first if you have a heart, blood-pressure, anxiety, kidney or liver condition. A different product with maca or saffron would carry a different set of questions.
So never use a page about another product to judge the safety of this one, or the other way round. Each label has to be read on its own.

No. Maca is not on the Apex Boost label described on this site. The label lists six herbs: tribulus, horny goat weed, longjack, ginseng, ashwagandha and yohimbe.
Does Apex Boost contain saffron or L-carnitine?
No. Neither appears on the label. Other products that use a similar name may list them, so check the panel.
Does Apex Boost contain grape skin extract?

Is Apex Boost Plus a stronger version?
Not as far as the label shows. The plus sign is part of the printed name, Apex Boost + Male Capsules. The seller pack documents one formula.

Under another name, yes. Longjack, the third herb on the label, is the plant extract often sold as tongkat ali.
What should I do if my bottle lists different ingredients?
Do not assume it is the same product. Photograph the panel, call the order desk with the lot number, and send the photo to the website desk.
Our view
Names are cheap and labels are not. Several products share the words Apex and Boost, and a search can mix them together. The only reliable way to know what you are buying is to read the Supplement Facts panel and compare it, ingredient by ingredient, with the one you meant to buy.
For the product on this site, the answer to the title question is no. If maca, saffron or L-carnitine is what you want, this is not the capsule. If you want the six-herb blend with yohimbe, now you know exactly what it is, and what it is not.

If this six-herb label is the one you meant, the checkout page shows the price and the guarantee.
